Inspiring children through fun & education
Get Active Sports provides schools with Rewarding childcare before and after school
Did you know we provide schools with various sports, childcare and educational services? We helped our schools raise over £50,000 last year whilst Getting children Active….to find out more contact our office.
About Our Breakfast & After School Clubs For Schools
Our successful programmes are created and planned in order to keep children healthy, active and engaged through sports, arts & crafts and educational activities in the hours after school.
Focussing on the whole child we will develop children’s confidence, social skills and empower their learning whilst promoting literacy and numeracy.
Activities such as treasure hunts, real life problem solving, memory games, drama activities and sports maths will help improve children’s reading and maths.
Every session will involve homework/reading time (depending on the schools wishes), meaning every child will have the chance for independent learning.
We have recently introduced iPads into the learning potential.
- Please view each location page for times and prices.
- Please note: children will not be permitted entry into camp before their allotted paid start time.

Radstock School Case Study
Working closely with the school to ensure we offered the best possible service the club had 20 children regularly attending. After some extra marketing and some brilliant feedback from other parents and teachers this now regularly has 30 children attend per club.
Social skills and behaviour have dramatically improved through teamwork and our Whole Child Active element with a different year being responsible for different aspects of the club each day.
Year 6 children are regularly used as “drinks monitors” ensuring that during snack time all children have enough juice or water. KS1 children are responsible for helping to tidy the plates and ensure the setup is correct. KS2 children assist with the washing up.
All of our sessions, activities and games contain educational links. Children learn whilst having fun (many without even realising they are learning).
Maths puzzles during art; maths problems when serving the food or number games during sport mean all children will experience additional numeracy skills.
Treasure hunts will improve literacy when poems and word searches introduce children to new words and themes every day.
As part of the Active Care agreement schools receive a payment back with Get Active Sports paying Radstock School £5437 between September 2016 and April 2017.
